Scope
This Policy explains how KABA collects, uses, stores and shares personal data when you:
- browse kaba.com.gh;
- create an account;
- place an order;
- sign up to our newsletter;
- contact us or receive support;
- otherwise interact with us.
We process personal data in accordance with applicable Ghanaian data protection law, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Information we collect
- Account and identity: name, email address, phone number, account and sign-in details. Also any date of birth or title you choose to give.
- Delivery and contact: delivery and invoice addresses, delivery instructions, recipient details.
- Orders and transactions: products ordered, order values, invoices, refunds, discount codes used, payment status and transaction references. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV or Mobile Money PIN; Paystack handles those.
- Wishlist, cart and comparison: products you save, add to your cart or compare.
- Newsletter: your email address and your subscription status, if you sign up.
- Device and security: IP address, browser and device information, session identifiers, security logs.
- Visit statistics: our shop software records visits in its own database for traffic statistics: pages viewed, time, referring page and IP address.
- Customer service: emails, WhatsApp messages and other support communications.
How we use your information
We use personal data to:
- create and manage your account;
- process, deliver and support orders;
- process payments and refunds;
- send order, delivery, security and service messages;
- help with manufacturer warranty claims;
- detect fraud, abuse and unauthorised access;
- meet tax, accounting and legal obligations;
- answer questions and complaints;
- keep the website working, secure and improving;
- send newsletters and offers where you have agreed to receive them.
Legal bases
Depending on the activity, we process personal data for one of these reasons:
- it is necessary to perform a contract with you, or to take steps you ask for before one;
- it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
- it protects our legitimate business and security interests, used proportionately and without unfairly overriding your rights;
- you have given consent, where consent is required, for example for newsletters.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only where reasonably necessary, with:
- Paystack, for payments, refunds and fraud prevention;
- our hosting provider, for the website, its database and backups;
- our email provider, for account, order and newsletter emails;
- couriers and delivery partners, to deliver orders;
- manufacturers and authorised service providers, where needed for a warranty claim you make;
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to contact us there;
- professional advisers, auditors, banks and regulators, where reasonably necessary;
- law-enforcement or public authorities, where disclosure is legally required.
We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
The website and its database are hosted on servers in London, United Kingdom. Some other providers may also process data outside Ghana. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use reputable providers and appropriate contractual, technical or organisational safeguards, consistent with applicable law.
Cookies
We use only cookies needed for the shop to work: session, cart, sign-in, language and currency. See our Cookie Policy.
Marketing
If you sign up to our newsletter, we may send product news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter, or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not stop essential order, delivery, security or refund messages.
How long we keep information

Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law and lawful exceptions, you may:
- ask whether we hold personal data about you;
- request access to it;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
- ask us to stop direct marketing;
- request deletion, blocking or other appropriate action where legally available;
- raise a concern about how your data is handled.

Children
Purchases from KABA are intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts or place orders in their own name.
Third-party links and services

We may update this Policy as our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version always shows its latest revision date.
